CIBCB 2007 HOME
Honolulu, Hawaiii, hosts the 2007 IEEE Symposium on
Computational Intelligence in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The event
will be part of the IEEE Symposium Series on
Computational Intelligence (SSCI'07), which
includes twelve IEEE symposia on different applications and focus areas of
computational intelligence.
This international symposium series, sponsered by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society,
brings together top researchers,
practitioners and students from around the world on
April 1-5, 2007 to discuss the latest advances in
the field of computational intelligence applied to issues in
bioinformatics and the biosciences. Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of no more than eight (8) pages including results, figures and references. Submissions will be peer reviewed and accepted papers published in the conference proceedings.
Topics covered include:
applications of computational intelligence technologies (evolutionary
computation, neural computation, fuzzy systems, and other emerging
techniques) in the following or similar areas:
- Microarray analysis
- Phylogeny analysis and construction
- Feature selection in biological data
- Motif and pattern discovery
- Protein and RNA structure prediction
- Ontologies and taxonomies
- High-throughput biotechnology
- Sequence analysis and alignment
- Ecological modelling
- Cell simulation and modelling
- Molecular computing
- Associated theory
