Developing Ethical Process Models
Vikash Sananda
Ethics is the fundamental element of any business philosophy. Its
significance has been undermined by considering it an external factor
rather than an integral part of the functional framework of a business
process. This trend has marked a significant reversal with the advent
of Business Process Outsourching/Offshoring, where each stage is
either directly or indirectly influenced by Ethics. Information
Technology (IT) Offshoring calls for enhanced level of Ethics
implementation owing to the geographical, technological & cultural
disparity and also considering the sensitive nature of the offshored
process. This can be achieved by developing an ethical process model
that is acceptable to both the client and service provider without
affecting the flexibility of the business process.
