KSU Computer Science Department
First Annual Poster Conference / Open House
On the (approximate) occasion of its 5th anniversary as an independent
department, the KSU CS Department
will hold its first annual Poster Conference / Open
House from 3-5pm on Friday afternoon 21 April 2006.
The event will open at 3pm in the lounge area of the Math & CS
Library (third floor,
Mathematics and Computer Science Building), with a small reception
as the participants arrive. At 3:20pm, KSU
President
Carol Cartwright and CS Department Chair Robert Walker
will make a few remarks.
As those remarks conclude at 3:30pm, visitors will disperse
throughout the building to see the posters and visit any open labs.
The posters will spotlight faculty and graduate student research,
undergraduate projects and classes, and departmental student
organizations.
Prizes will also be awarded for the first and second place posters
by graduate students, and for the first and second place posters by
undergraduate students / classes / clubs.
