KSU Computer Science Department
Second Annual Poster Conference, Open House, and Awards Ceremony

If you are a professor, graduate student, or undergraduate student in the KSU CS Department, you should consider putting together a poster for the Second Annual KSU CS Poster Conference, Open House, and Awards Ceremony. Not only do we expect visitors from outside the department to attend, including other KSU faculty and students, but we also hope to attract faculty and industry people from northeastern Ohio.

If you are a FACULTY member who will have an open lab, think in terms of an "overview" poster for your lab (posted on the bulletin boards that will be installed soon outside the CS labs), and individual posters for your graduate students who have enough work to present.

If you are a FACULTY member who would prefer not to open your lab or who does not have a lab, let Robert Walker (walker@cs.kent.edu) know as soon as possible, with a rough idea how many posters you might expect to have, and we will arrange space for you elsewhere in the building (perhaps MSB 228 or 243).

If you are a GRADUATE STUDENT who is a PhD student past Candidacy or an MS student near completion of your thesis work, you probably have enough material for a poster. If you've published a paper, you probably have enough material for a poster. If you're just starting, well, maybe you don't have enough material for an individual poster, but maybe you can help your advisor put together his or her poster. Go TALK to your advisor as soon as possible!

If you are an UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT who is an officer of one of our departmental clubs, consider putting together a poster on your club and its activities. If you are in a class that has had a large project, consider putting together a poster on your project. If you're in the Capstone class, could your group put together a poster? Be creative! But... so that we can plan... if you're an undergrad and want to participate with a poster, please let Walter Pechenuk (wpechenu@cs.kent.edu) know as soon as possible so that we can arrange space for you, possibly in one of the teaching labs on the first floor.
