Colloquium for Wednesday, April 8, 2009
Speaker: Mr. Steve Smith, (organized by the KSU ACM Chapter), Lake Quincy Media, Ohio

Title: Introducing ASP.NET MVC and SOLID Coding Principles

Abstract: In this talk, Steve describes how to apply Robert Martin's SOLID principles of class design to ASP.NET MVC applications. Starting with a typical application that fails to follow these rules, the session will quickly show the disadvantages of tightly coupled, highly dependent code. After a bit of refactoring and testing, the initial application will be transformed into code that follows best practices of Object Oriented Design.

Hosts: W. Scott DePouw (ACM Chapter, KSU)

  Time: Wednesday, April 8, 2009, 3:45 - 5:00 PM

  Place: MSB, Room 228
