Submission Guidelines
Each question is worth 1/4 of the total grade on this test.
- Two possible strategies for storing a segment in our graphics package
are described below. Compare and contrast these two strategies including
strengths and weaknesses of each.
- Saving the commands in a linked list of strings.
- Saving the data from the commands in a linked list of
structures.
- Write a routine to split a concave polygon into convex polygons using
the vector method. Write a test driver for this routine. The test
driver should read a polygon description from an input file and
write polygon descriptions (acceptable to our graphics package) to
an output file.
- Suppose you have a system with an 8-inch by 10-inch video
screen (usable area) that can display 100 pixels per inch. If a color
lookup table with 64 positions is used with this system,
what is the smallest possible size (in bytes) for the frame buffer.
- Write a program that will generate a wire mesh representation of a
cone.
