Grid Computing Proposed Talk Subjects
These are proposed topics for individual class presentations by students.
These will involve reading background material on the topic including seeking more
recent literature on the web and in hardcopy. The result should be a Powerpoint presentation
with referenes to any sources used.
Each presentation is expected to be an hour long with 15 minutes for discussion.
In addition the second topic will involve writing a survey paper on the current status or
implementing an environment/application and demonstarting it.
Possible Topics Set 1 - Grid Technologies and Architecture:
- The Design and Progress towards Globus 4
- Web Services - theory and practice
- Autonomic Computing - theory and current status
- OGSA and Data Grids
- The Semantic Grid - concept and current status
- Peer-to-Peer Grid Databases
- Virtualization services for Data Grids
