Project Mechanics
CS 5/43201, Operating Systems,
Summer 2006
Getting Help:
-
This is not a programming language course. You are required to
-
know C or C++. Therefore debugging will be mainily your own
responsibility.
-
Unfortunately no code debugging support will be provided by TA or
myself.
-
TA and I will provide you support regarding the concepts and design.
-
For any clarification regarding the assignment please contact me.
Cheating and Copying:
All projects have to be done individually. If a copy is caught
the
person
copying as well as the person copied from, both will be penalized.
So it is your responsibility to protect your work. Only exception is
when
the student copied from reports in advance of a theft. Any copy
will result in ZERO grade for the assignment.
Late Submission:
To help you better manage your time around your other responsibilites,
I will issue
7 coupons to each student for the entire semester. Each coupon
will allow
you to submit an assignment/ project one day late
without
penalty. If you are
late, attach the coupon(s) with your report. Without a coupon each
late submission
will cost you 5% of your score per day.
