First Half

It's final! The Aviators are heading to the playoffs as the #7 seed as Bomb Squad was forced to forfeit their final game of the season. A large crowd gathered for the season finale for the Aviators which resulted in a mass scrimmage between a mix of players, Bomb Squad's, Aviators, even Officials. About 20 people ran about the ice during the 30 minute time slated for the game enjoying hits, scores, checks, even fights - as Aviator's Kulesza squared off against Caucasion Sensation's Flory. The two brawled for about 10 seconds before being seperated and helping each other up, giving the crowd the delight of cheers, whoots, and holler's. None of the game stats are counted for the actual tally for the Broomball League, but the forfeit does credit the Aviators with 3 goals and 2 points, which sets them up for their first game in the playoffs against the Caucasion Sensations. CS has had a successful season, going 4-1. The Aviators and CS both well developed teams, having 3 years of experience under their belt, and also performing at about the same value of intensity as well. "I've been talking to Flory and how it's been a possibility for a few weeks now that we could see each other in the playoffs and now it's happening! I anticipate it to be a good game." commented Kulesza. CS has a strong offense, putting in 20 goals this season, as compared to the Aviators 10. However CS has also allowed twice as many goals as the Aviators to counter-balance their offense. The first round of the playoffs is scheduled for this Wednesday for the start of the Eastern Conference quarter finals. The Western Conference will start Thursday with the following: Blue Balls (1) vs. The Franchise (8); The Crew (4) vs. The Nortons (5); Gold Diggers (3) vs. Wang Computers (6); Caucasion Sensations (2) vs. Aviators (7).
