Tech. Ed. Akron takes a closer look on how Akron high schools use technology inside classrooms. Here print stories and multimedia help to tell the story behind these high schools technology programs, budget and political constraints showing at the same time how schools deal with the technology academic standards adopted by Ohio in 2003.
Throughout the length of this project, journalism and computer science students visited Akron high schools gathering the opinion of teachers, students and specialists as it relates to Akron’s technology education. We gathered public records to better illustrate, for example, these schools expenditures and how well they are actually doing, according to the state.
Through this interactive website, parents, educators and students can inform themselves on how the Akron public schools are doing as far as teaching and learning technology and form their own opinions on the technology education system.
