To elaborate on the project assignment, you should turn in: o An overview of your design and any major design decisions that you made, including how you met the project requirements o Printouts of the major components of the design o The part of the project report file that shows how much of the chip you used, plus any other parts of that file that you think are interesting (i.e., don't turn in the entire file -- it's too long) o Simulations showing the full operation of your project, plus any additional simulations of individual components that may be necessary to demonstrate more fully how each works o A description of what changes you had to make, if any, in your design from what you had proposed earlier. If you changed from your original proposal, tell me what changes you had to make from what you thought you'd do on this new project when you started it. o A description of what's particularly interesting in your design, and what you had to learn about to make it work. Turn all this in at the beginning of class on Wednesday, which runs 1:00-2:30 in the VLSI Design Lab. Then, when you give your demo, you should present to the class the following: o An overview of your design and any major design decisions that you made, including how you met the project requirements o Printouts of the major components of the design (OK to use transparencies if you want -- I'll bring in a projector) o Simulations showing the full operation of your project, plus any additional simulations of individual components that may be necessary to demonstrate more fully how each works (again, can use transparencies if you want) o A description of what's particularly interesting in your design, and what you had to learn about to make it work. o A demo showing that it actually works And, all of this should be done in 10 minutes, so you'll need to think about how you'll do this, and practice in advance to make sure you can do so in 10 minutes. The presentation will count as part of your grade. After the demo, give me a disk containing all the files for your project.
