Short Bio

I am currently a doctoral student working with Dr. Hassan Peyravi in the Internet Engineering Lab. My current research focus is on Wireless Mesh networks. Primarly I am investigating issue related to:

  • Fault tolerant routing in multi-hop wireless networks.
  • Wired Gateway (TAPs) placement in Wireless Mesh Networks.
  • Medium Access Control and its cross layer dependence with the network layer in wireless mesh networks.

I received my Masters in computer science from Kent State University in 2003. My Master Thesis was focused on dynamic bandwidth allocation based on QoS requirements of a network application. This work was part of the Internet2 Technology Evaluation Center (ITEC). As part of this grant I setup the Internet Engineering Lab and also contributed towards the development of lab experiments that are part of the Department's upper level networking courses.
