Create a Unix account

Due Date: Tuesday 4 March, 1996

Setup a new account for yourself on spectre, trigger and revenant in the Computer Networking and Operating Systems Laboratory 255 MSB.

It should have the same login name and number (UID), and group number (GID), as your account on the main departmental UNIX systems (aegis and intrepid). If the /etc/groups file does not have a group entry for that GID then create one.

Notify me and the grader that you have successfully accomplished this by mailing us once from each machine.
