CS 33901 Software Engineering
Final Exam Information


The Final Exam is on Friday Dec. 18th, 10:15am - 12:30pm

The final will be open book, open notes. It will not be proctored. You do not need the respondous lockdown browser. It will be comprehensive but will focus on the study guide provided below.

There will be two parts to the exam: a set of short easay questions and a design problem.

The exam will be timed. Both parts must be turned in by 12:30pm on Friday Dec 18th. You will have the full 2 hours 15 minutes from 10:15am to 12:30pm to complete and turn in both parts of the exam.

Both parts of the exam will be posted in Blackboard course content at or before 10:15am on Thursday May 7th.

The two parts of the exam are (both must be completed by 12:30):
  • Online exam in Blackboard 60% (Final Exam in couse content). There will be 3-5 short easay questions. (~30 minutes)
  • Design problem 40% (Final Exam Design Problem in course content). You will be given a software design problem (similar to assignment 1). You will need to create a class diagram and/or a sequence diagram. Turn this in as an assignments as a single PDF via Blackboard. You should use a UML drawing tool. (~1 hour 15 minutes)
There is an example exam posted in Blackboard course content (Sample Exam). You should try this out before the day of the exam to make sure your browser works properly (NO lockdown browser is needed).

The easay question will focus on the above topics. Details or use of git will not be on the exam. However, high level issues of using version contol may.
